What's changed from previous seasons?

Due to overwhelming interest in our zombie-themed "Deadlands" trail last year, we return to a single-mega-trail format featuring the downfall of Pandora Labs. With updated parking, improved ticketing, a new VIP line, a consolidated queue-line and even more concession options, it's a full Night of Fright!

We have also updated our Family Walk - with a cheaper price and a better time, it allows guests to enjoy it with the entire family...and buy an upgrade pass if they want to dare the scary version afterwards.

Is it scary?

Bring a spare pair of pants. For some people, we're not kidding.

Do you have a less scary version?

Saturdays (5:30-6:30 pm) is our non-scary Family Walk, toned down for young children and those weak, er, tender at heart. Tickets are general admission; upgrade tickets to the regular scare at 7 pm are available at the ticket booth.

If you bring children under ten (10) into Dark Hollow after 7 pm, you do so at your own risk; there are no refunds.

Do you close if it's raining?

We're open rain or dry...to a point. Heavy rain can force us to close early. Please wear good shoes (the trail will be muddy), prepare for weather and follow safety instructions. Bring an umbrella! If you choose to wear flip-flops, high heels, a prom dress and/or tuxedo, your imported leather jacket...you do so at your own risk.

Rain ponchos, hand-warmers, and hot chocolate is available for purchase on site, just in case.

Is it safe to walk a forest trail at night?

If you behave yourself. The trail can be uneven and muddy, so wear good shoes. Security staff are available if you need help. Gravediggers are also standing by, just in case...

How long does it take to walk?

Give yourself at least an hour or more from the time you arrive to the time you leave, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursdays are always less crowded.

The perfect way to avoid a long wait in line: Purchase a VIP FrightPass at the ticket booth. You go straight to the head of the line AND get discounts at other haunted attractions along the Puget Sound!

Are there any discounts?

$1 off if you bring a non-perishable donation for the Maple Valley Food Bank. And please, one item per person for the discount. People need to EAT, dang it!

$1-off group discount for groups with 20+ guests. Please e-mail us in advance.

There is a secret bonus $1 off coupon found somewhere on the Legend Page. We can't help you find it but, if we could, we'd be sure to post the location somewhere.

NOTE: These discounts CAN be combined!

What is the VIP Line?

This is a straight-to-the-front queue line for those who have a VIP FrightPass. It rewards those die-hard "haunt hoppers" who like to visit more than one haunted attraction each season. This new pass provides discounts and VIP treatment to 13 different haunts along the Puget Sound.

The pass costs $10 at the ticket booth, and gives you instant access to the VIP Line. After using it at 2-3 other haunts, it will have paid for itself. For those who like to get their fright on!

Is there a child-discounted fare?

All tickets are general admission. Strollers are not recommended!

Do you accept checks or debit/credit cards?

Checks? No. Credit / Debit cards? Yes!

Online ticketing will be available again this year, and we accept credit / debit cards at the ticket booth.
Please note that most of our concession stands still only accept cash.

Is the event handicapped accessible?

Most of Dark Hollow is a rough outdoor trail. The trail is wide enough for wheelchairs, but includes tight turns and a steep incline. Powered chairs and / or strong helpers are strongly recommended. Please be aware the trail can be very soft. If you still wish to attend, please contact us in advance. We will do our very best to help.

Can I bring a flashlight, cellphone or camera?

Please keep cellphones silent. We cannot look for lost phones while the event is operating. If we happen to find one, it will be available at the ticket window the next night we are open. Otherwise...

NO flashlights • NO flash photography • NO video cameras

Can I wear a mask and/or costume?

Costumes are fine, but NO masks and NO camouflage...
NO
exceptions!

Will the monsters touch me?

Occasionally something might brush against you or swallow you whole. Please be patient. If YOU choose to touch anyone and/or anything on the trail, see the next question below.

Is it true that if ONE of our group is asked to leave, ALL of our group has to leave?

Yes. That’ll make sure you identify the troublemakers in your group right off. Ain’t peer pressure dandy?

Does this event benefit anyone?

This is a non-profit event, which means that proceeds go back to the community. It benefits the various volunteer and youth groups that helped produce this event, groups dedicated to community service.

This event also benefits the Maple Valley Food Bank. Last year alone we delivered over four truckloads of goods, just in time for the holiday season. Wet yourself in fright AND help those in need? It's win / win!

I had a different question. Will you answer it?

One of the advantages of being dead is that we have a good deal of time on our hands. Here’s all the contact info you’ll ever need.
